Rain!

As you can see it rains A LOT here in Scotland. This happened the other night. Sister Hopkin and I just got out of an appointment and within minutes rain started lashing down like a monsoon. I took my liner out of my coat the previous day because it was sunny and quite nice. I didn't think I would need to for a while. Shows that Scottish weather is unpredictable and is impossible to prepare for.

It was Sister Hopkin's FIRST rain monsoon experience and I hope she enjoyed it. I have come to love the rain and have learned to embrace it. It gives me an undescribable feeling of determination to press forward. If you don't understand, it's missionary thing. :)
This week has passed too quickly. I felt tuesday was saturday and saturday was death. I was SO tired at the end of the week. Sister Hopkin and I have seen so many miracles I don't know where to begin.
I'll share one experience at the beginning of our week:
Sister Green ( a member) offered to take us to Glasgow for the day while she was at the dental hospital. We had a great time in glasgow wandering around. Our p-day ends at 6 and Sister Green is well aware of this fact. We waited in the dental hospital from 5-6 and then started finding until Sister Green phoned us. Fortyfive mintues go by and we stop by the dental hospital again--to our surprise the place is locked and closed down.

We think "WHAT!!??"  The security guard tells us that no one is in the office anymore. Soon after Sister Green phones us and says "I'm so sorry" with no panic we say "it's fine, don't worry where are you at? we'll meet up with you" she responds "I'm home!" I think "home?" I say "East Kilbride?" she says "yes, i'm so sorry, i've never left missionaries in glasgow before."
She had been waiting outside a shop from 5-6 waiting for us!!! what are the chances? We just barely missed each other. We laughed it off and told her we had our bus passes.

On the bus we met a young man named Tony. He noticed a picture of Christ on my planner and asked me if I prayed to him everyday? I told him yes and bore testimony to him. Sister Hopkin and I shared The Book of Mormon with him and he gladly accepted to read and pray as well as have the missionaries contact him within the week. It was an amazing experience. Both Sister Hopkin and I KNEW there was a reason that Sister Green left us in Glasgow, and Tony was the reason.

Sister Hopkin is amazing and had ONE Book of Mormon with her (we didn't think we would need supplies on our p-day). He was very receptive and such a delight to talk to.
It was a great experience to be on the other end of the stick. People approaching me with power statements about Jesus Christ. It was a great lesson to me about talking to everyone and how to do it nicely. Tony will be baptized......some day. I'm waiting to hear from the Elders in Glasgow about their miracle when Tony accepts to be baptized to live with his family again.
THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY-SAINTS IS TRUE!!!!!! I love it, I love my Savior and my Heavenly Father.
Have a great week!
