such a love for the gospel and has one of the best sense of humors! He can make anyone laugh! Sister Oswald and I always leave our lessons with him with a HUGE smile and lifted spirits. He is paritially blind, but doesn't let that stop him from keeping the commandments.
Brother McAfferty is great because:
1. He keeps the gospel simple: We asked him questions such as "How does it feel to be a member for a year?" his response "WONDERFUL" in a high pitched tone! or we ask him "Why is this important?" he responds
"Because it's a commandment!" Oh it's lovely teaching him the gospel
2. He loves music. We made it a tradition to sing musicals on our way home from a members home!
3. He can take a joke.
4. He is ALWAYS happy
5. His favorite thing to eat is a meat feast pizza and iron brew!
It's so wonderful to see a child of God keeping committments for an entire year! Brother McAfferty is a great example of being dilligent to the Savior and reaching out to help others.
