Today we went to the Temple which is only a block from the MTC. oh my goodness!!! it is BEAUTIFUL! We were able to do a session and take a tour through the Temple. Sister Smith, a teacher said that they normally don't give tours, but the coordinator for the day was once the MTC President that he has a soft spot for the missionaries. The baptism font was INCREDABLE. I couldn't pick my jaw from the ground, it truely was a treat/delight to see. It is and will forever be my favorite baptismal font in the world.
A few facts about MTC life. There are only 30 missionaries here; 6 Sisters and 24 Elders. The Sisters are awesome. Sister Spencer has our Random fact of the day. I've learned that on average people lose 50-100 hairs a day. I tested the theory the next day...I only counted about 30. There are 140 million types of Spiders in the world and 40 million of them are poisionous and only three of them live in the United States! and I learned about black holes today. Sister Spencer is our dictionary! Sister Olsen, oh dear so much to say about her. With Sister Olson it's more how she says things that make it funny! Sister Jones is quiet, Sister Brown is loud, outgoing, always laughing and is always the first to volunteer to anything and last Sister Schulze(German) is quiet, but tells the truth. The other night we were eating dinner and being girls we were talking about how we are fat and need to stop eating. We asked Sister Schulze if we ate too much and she replied 'yes' we all laughed because we knew it to be true. She is sweet and is always making sure we are ON TIME!!!
In case you were wondering all the teachers here are british and have an accent so hopefully I can pick some of it up. Well that's it for this week. My p-days are on tuesdays so the next update will probably come tuesdays or wednesdays!
Hope everything is going well
Sister Garlock
