BAPTISM!!!

All the hard work pays off. Sister Oswald and I had a baptism on Thursday. It was a great service and a lot of support from the members. His name is Peter Anderson and he is GOLDEN (i'm sure i've said that before, but it's true). He was ready to be baptized. On Sunday 26 Feb he received the Gift of the Holy Ghost and even
bore his testimony for the first time. It was wonderful to finally hear him bear his testimony about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints. Everyone was astonished that he was able to be willing to bear his testimony.

Goodbye Montrose Hello East Kilbride

Wednesday was a bitter-sweet day. Sister Beck and I were
handling the moves call very well all week (we KNEW we were going to
be separated). We held our act and didn't let it effect our purpose.
Wednesday morning came and we were leaving our flat. We said a prayer
as always-it was my turn. I'm in the middle of my prayer when out of
nowhere tears start filling my eyes. Sniffles were next and I could
hear Sister Beck getting choked up as well. OH GOODNESS of all times
to hit, the very very last moments. We enjoyed our last car ride
together.

Here are the pictures at the train station.

The train ride was interesting. It was interesting to see Elders in a
different environment other than District Meetings or Zone
Conferences. Quite the contrast I must say haha. Nae bother, it was
enjoyable

East Kilbride is a bus area and a walking area. HOORYAY!!!! Sister
Oswald loves to walk (yipee) and riding a double decker bus on the
second level is a whole new experience.

One blessing: We have a progressing investigator who is getting
baptized on the 23 of Feb!!! I met him on my first day in East
Kilbride and he is absolutely FANTASTICALLY GOLDEN! honestly. At the
end of the lesson I was bearing my testimony and this was his response
"You are testifying to the converted" haha

I honestly couldn't believe that the lord would prepare someone so
well for us to teach. He normally teaches us than the other way
around. I feel so blessed to be a part of his baptism process and being
a part of teaching and fellowshipping him.

When I noticed the tender mercies of the lord this is what I tell
myself. "The lord loves me/us" There are some little things that
matter to me and I know those little things matter to the lord as
well. The Lord loves you

HAPPY LOVE DAY! (valentines is overrated). "A new commandment I give
unto you, that ye love one another as I have loved you, that ye also
love one to another. By this shall all men know if ye but love one
another " -John 14 :34-35

Jesus did everything for us because he loves us. He is our perfect
example of how we should extend our love to EVERYONE!

Enjoy your day of LOVE! :)

TRANSFERS aka FINAL JUDGEMENT

Hiya everyone!

Predictions have been floating around for a couple of weeks now.
Sister Beck has been in Montrose for seven months so she is obviously
moving and i've only been in Montrose for Four months so there is a
chance of me going but most likely to stay with all the new things
happening in the ward, new missionaries wouldn't stand a chance. They
would have to hit the ground sprinting to catch up with everything
that has been going on in the ward. Lots of changes and adjustments.

We were suppose to get our call on Sunday night, but due to a trip
President had to take the calls were posposed until Monday morning.
Anticipation rose and excitment had to be handled properly.

Sister Beck and I had a breakfast appointment with a member this
morning (we are so loved). We told the family that we were expecting
our moves call and apologized in advance for answering the phone. We
knew they would understand..... Right in the middle of breakfast the
phone rings.  It's from the Office which means that one or both of us
is moving to a new area...... excitiment builds up.

I answer "Hello" Elder Costley (Assistant) " Hello Sister Garlock How
are you?" Me : "Oh a bit anxious" Elder " haha Well alright well I
won't let you wait any longer, here is President"  President " Hello
Sister Garlock I have a new assignment for you... You will move to
East Kill Bride in the Glasgow area and Serve with Sister Oswald."
Excitment exploded!!!!!!

Couldn't believe that I WAS MOVING I thought for sure Sister Beck
was moving. Sister Beck is staying in Montrose another six weeks.

There you have it. I'll be moving on wednesday down to southern
Scotland!  The only things I really know about people in Glasgow is
that they speak faster and they will often tell you "Take a hike!"
haha  It shall be quite the adventure and experience with a new
companion and a completely new environment. I'll be in a bus area and
in the city. No more country roads :(

I have really enjoyed my time in Montrose and I feel like I
accomplished what I needed to accomplish. The only thing that is hard
is we have a progressing investigator and Sister Beck and I feel like
he will accept a baptismal date in March. He has been so wonderful to
teach and it's been great to see him move from not interested to
investigator to progressing investigator. However, I don't regret one
moment and I know that Sister Beck will do her best to bring the
gospel's influence in his life.

New people and adventures are waiting for me in Glasgow and boy am I
EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope all is well

Love, Sister Garlock
