Kirrmuir

Last P-day Sister Beck and I planned an adventure to Neverland. Yes
Never land. Kirrmuir is the birthplace of JM Barry. JM Barry came up
with the story of Peter Pan. Peter Pan is my FAVORITE disney movie of
all time. I've always wanted to go to Neverland and be a children
forever. How blessed I felt to be so close.

I have to admit there isn't a lot of say about it because the museum
was closed, but we were able to get in the back garden and see the
statue of peter pan and were almost eaten by the crocodile.

The entire town is dedicated to Peter Pan. As we were leaving Sister
Beck and I noticed a few of the Shop names. "The Wendy House" and
"Hooks Hotel" there were also statues of Peter Pan in every Park.
Quite a big deal for the little town of Kirrmuir.

This is my district. Elder Sterling (left) and Elder Dodd (right).
Elder Sterling is the one who pelted me in the face during football
and Elder Dodd is our District Leader. They are SO funny. We always
have a good time :)

Hope Everything is well.

Building Houses

Sister Beck and I did 12 days of Christmas with the Maxton family, but
due to being ill they haven't had the chance to build their houses.
They invited us over and we all built our own version.
Here are the results:

Just a side note: The fact that our house (Sis. Beck's and mine) of
crackers is standing is a miracle. I have THE WORSE record for
gingerbread houses. In the past mine have NEVER been able to stay up.
No matter how much frosting i put on to secure the candy/walls etc....
My house never stands. It has gotten to the point to where i refuse to
build gingerbread houses because I know the end result. However, I
made an exception and I excerised faith and lo and behold Sister Beck
did a great job with our house. I frosted and she put it together. I
did help with the landscape. I figure planting flowers wouldn't do any
harm. Missions are Miracles and confidence builders! haha

Hope your January isn't as cold as mine!
Fact: My companion's brother informed us that January is National
sucided prevention month. His counsel has brought us encouragement and
has helped us through the bitter cold days. He says "No matter how
cold it gets, don't do it"

Enjoy January; Use the warmth of the Spirit!

Sister Beck's ONE YEAR mark

The 14 Janurary was Sister Beck's one year mark. As a result we burned one of her skirts, You know because of tradition....ok we just burned one pair of nylons. Who am I kidding, we need every layer of clothing possible to keep warm. We are however celebrating by making our favorite pudding (dessert) tonight! So excited! Here are some adventures she has had these past three months:

We meet and make a lot of new friends. This poor fellow was not
able to be graced by our friendship

Singing on the High Street (state street) for the Redeemed Church.

Cooking in celebration of Sister Stronach's Birthday.

Thanksgiving activities

Our car being pranked on by our Bishop

Loads of Fun and more to come!

Sister Beck aka Sister Best! :)

Happy One year mark.

Would you rather breath Fire or Ice? (this is for her when she gets home!)
The first week of training....Learning where the fire escape is in
the Flat, the window. She demontrated perfectly

Happy New Year!

Oh, I love New years. A time to reflect on the person you have become over the year and feeling self achievement. I love setting goals, there is something so gradifying about it. Knowing that your goals will help you become a better person and becoming more like the Savior with each new goal, what more motivation do you need?
Here are some quotes that I found that I'm going to try and apply to my work.
" A friend will strengthen you with their prayers, Bless you with their love and encourage you with their hope"

"If you believe you can, or believe you can't. You're usually right".

"Be more concerned with your character than your reputation; because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are."

"Adversity is meant to make you better, not bitter."

" It's about doing whats right, not popular."

"Get on your knees and pray. Then get on your feet and work."

Truth will Prevail.

Happy New Years and May God Bless Your Way.
